Laser Tattoo Removal
This Professional Certificate is developed for aesthetic professionals to obtain a licence exception from the Radiological Council of WA to perform tattoo removal using class 4, Q-Switched laser modalities. The course provides a holistic approach to laser practice within a cosmetic medical setting.

Upfront payment per theory unit. Practical training (supervised hours) will be charged on a monthly basis.
As stipulated by the Radiological Council of WA, There is no entry requirement to this course. However, it is most suited to beauty and/or health professionals
The theory component of this course will take approximately 60 hours and will have a maximum of 12 weeks to complete.
The optional practical training is delivered on a weekly sessional basis. The number of supervised hours is determined on a case by case basis. Please discuss your training requirements with enquiries@aacds.edu.au.
For graduates holding a qualification from AACDS, you will be exempt from the unit CDNLBT02 Analyse light-based therapies used in cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies. However, we do recommend you complete a refresher on the unit. You will be provided FREE access to this online unit via the AACDS Student Portal.
This is only available online. Please Note: CDNLBT02 is a stand-alone unit though is also delivered as a core unit in the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science, the Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and the Graduate Diploma of Dermal Therapies.
Successful completion of this certificate allows for an assessment only pathway for units in the following nationally accredited qualifications:
- Laser and light physics
- Laser safety
- Tattoos and ink
- Q-switched laser parameters
- Wound healing post laser tattoo removal
- Hands-on laser training in a 2:1 Student to Trainer ratio
