COURSE OVERVIEW
The Professional Certificate in Advanced Cosmetic Injectables is designed for cosmetic nurses who are ready to take on more complex treatments, broaden the services they offer, and strengthen their professional standing.
To get the most from this program, we recommend around 6–12 months of experience working in cosmetic nursing.
The course develops advanced procedural skill and deepens your clinical reasoning as you master more complex techniques. You will learn directly from doctors specialising in cosmetic medicine, in a genuine clinical environment.
Covering advanced techniques across neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators and mesotherapy, the program reflects Ahpra’s Cosmetic Practice Guidelines (2025) and is focused entirely on clinical treatment, not supplier product training.
Building on the clinical foundation you have already developed, the course extends your skills to advanced, full-face technique, with detailed anatomy and complication management. It includes four days of supervised, intensive hands-on training at an Aspire Training Clinic.
Online theory is delivered at your own pace through the AACDS Student Portal. The four-day practical block is held at an Aspire Training Clinic in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or the Gold Coast, where you will consult with and treat real patients under the direct supervision of a doctor specialising in cosmetic medicine. With a maximum of six students per intake, you will have genuine hands-on time across all four treatment areas and not observation alone.
You will finish with the skills and confidence to broaden what you offer your patients.

Complication Management
Managing complications is a critical component of patient safety. As treatments become more complex, a deep understanding of anatomy and the ability to recognise and respond quickly to any complication reaction is what ensures the best possible outcome for you and your patients.
Significant time is dedicated to danger zones, contraindications, and complication management, giving you both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage a complication.
Hands-On Practical
The four-day practical block is delivered at Aspire Training Clinics in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne or the Gold Coast under the supervision of a doctor and a registered nurse. The ratio of two trainers to six students provides you with access to expert knowledge in a real clinical environment, providing advance treatments on real patients under expert supervision.
Fits Around Your Roster
Online theory is self-paced through the AACDS Student Portal. The theory requires around four hours per week, designed to fit around shift work and clinical commitments.

Course content meets the annual continuing professional development requirements for registered nurses under Ahpra. Confirmed hours to be advised.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will meet the entry requirements if you are a Registered Nurse or a graduate of the 52919WA Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables.

Four units of advanced clinical content with each unit consisting of three lectures covering theory, applied technique, patient assessment and complication management. The course moves quickly past the basics and focuses on what experienced nurses need to go further.

COURSE DELIVERY AND RESOURCES
Course completion over 4-6 month period with online theory followed by 4-day practical block.
Online resources cover regulatory links, emergency management protocols and manufacturer training. Along with review quizzes and supporting materials to work through at your own pace.
Intensive four-day practical training at an Aspire Training Clinic. Treat masseter hypertrophy. Correct facial asymmetry. Master the face's danger zones with precision.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

- Perform advanced dermal filler treatments across the mid, lower and upper face, grounded in detailed vascular anatomy and complication avoidance
- Deliver biostimulant treatments with confidence, from patient selection through to dosing and adverse event management
- Carry out mesotherapy and bioremodelling using biomodulators such as PDRN, Exosomes and ProfHilo
- Translate theory into safe, capable practice during a supervised four-day clinical block at an Aspire Training Clinic
