LASER SAFETY AND CLINICAL LASER TRAINING

 

Laser Safety Officer's Certificate

This is a theory-based course, which focuses on the clinical aspects of IPL and Laser treatment and the required safety standards as outlined by the Radiation Safety Act 1999. The unit is government accredited and recognised by the two main Laser authorities; QLD Radiation Health and the Radiological Council of WA as an official Radiation/Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate.

Upon completion of this unit, it will lead to the issue of the IPL/Laser's Safety Officer's Certificate, it will not lead to the issue of a full, Nationally Recognised Qualification.


 

Professional Certificate in Clinical Laser Procedures (Superficial Cosmetic Procedures)

This certificate is developed for aesthetic professionals to obtain a license from the Radiological Council of WA to perform superficial cosmetic laser procedures including treatment of benign pigmented lesions, vascular lesions and diffuse erythema and non-ablative skin rejuvenation.

 


 

Professional Certificate in Clinical Laser Procedures (Laser Hair Reduction)

This certificate is developed for aesthetic professionals to obtain a license from the Radiological Council of WA to perform hair reduction using class 3B and 4 laser modalities.

 

Professional Certificate in Clinical Laser Procedures (Laser Tattoo Removal)

This certificate is developed for aesthetic professionals to obtain a license from the Radiological Council of WA to perform tattoo removal using Q-Switched and 4 laser modalities.


 

 

Professional Certificate in Clinical Laser Procedures (Fractionated Ablative Laser)

This certificate provides Aesthetic Doctors with the knowledge and hands-on skills to perform fractionated laser procedures for the purpose of skin rejuvenation and for specific dermatologic conditions.

 

 

Laser Bridging Course (For AACDS Graduates)

This course only applies to AACDS graduates from Western Australia who did NOT use class 3B and 4 laser in their practical training units (practical training completed prior to January 2019).
