This is a theory-based course, which focuses on the clinical aspects of laser and IPL treatment and the required safety standards as outlined by the Radiation Safety Act. This course is government accredited and recognised by the two main Laser authorities; QLD Radiation Health and the Radiological Council of WA as an official Radiation/Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate.
At the end of this 8-hour course, you will be required to attempt an online exam. The pass mark for this exam is 70%. Upon successful completion of this course, it will lead to the issue of the IPL/Laser's Safety Officer's Certificate from the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (RTO Provider Number 51373).
Our Laser Safety Officer's course is unique because it encompasses both safety and the clinical aspects of laser treatment within a cosmetic medical context. Most LSO courses are generic (ie. for many different industries) and only cover safety as opposed to patient and laser setting selection, skin analysis and many other clinical aspects associated with effective laser treatments.
