Anya Stephens

Psychology and Communications Lecturer

Anya Stephens is a qualified and WA registered Psychologist with over 12 years of experience in various psychological roles. Originally from the U.K., Anya began her career first as a Primary Age Teacher, before qualifying as an Educational Psychologist.  After spending many years in a senior position supporting schools, school aged young people and their families, Anya transferred to the Justice system to focus on psychological interventions with offenders and the hardest to reach. This involved individual interventions with offenders as well as large-scale interventions with the community and with the crime and prevention agenda in the U.K.

Anya immigrated to Australia in 2003 and is a Co-Director of PeopleSense.  PeopleSense is a busy human resources consultancy firm, which provide professional employee assistance programs (counselling), vocational rehabilitation and organisational consultancy – including culture and change programs, executive coaching, assisting teams, mediation and development and delivery of training.

Anya is also a certified workplace assessor and trainer (Cert. IV in Training and Assessment) and is a qualified hypnotherapist.
